Event
An event is one thing that happened on a website or in an app, recorded with a name and a time: a pageview, a sign-up, a purchase.
An event is the smallest unit of analytics data. It records that something happened, when it happened, and a few properties that describe it: the page, the product, the amount paid. Pageviews are events, and so are clicks, sign-ups, downloads and orders.
Every other number in a report is counted from events. A visit is a run of events from one arrival, a person is the human behind them, and a conversion is an event that matches a goal. Events named with a plan make later questions quick to answer; events sent without one pile up unused.
In MIRA FIVE
The script records pageviews and the events you send from the page. Your server can send events too, through a server SDK such as @mirafive/sdk-server for Node.js or mirafive/sdk-laravel, or plain HTTP, with retries de-duplicated. A purchase is an event that carries revenue, usually in a revenue property. Data → Live shows events live, refreshing every five seconds, and the events explorer lists them.
Events are also what a plan counts: 25,000 a month on Free and 100,000 on Pro. Bots are filtered and not billed, and the exposures an A/B test records are not counted.
Example
In the Acme Shop, every paid order is an event carrying its total. Over the last 30 days those events add up to 138 buyers and €21,582 in revenue.
