Trace every buyer to their first visit

Plausible's identifier resets every 24 hours; MIRA FIVE recognises people who consent across the days before they buy.

Which one fits your business?

Plausible fits better if

  • Open source you want to read the code, or run it on your own server.
  • One page a single dashboard of traffic, sources and goals answers your questions.
  • Daily counts you prefer a model that never recognises a visitor on a later day.
  • Track record you want a tool with years in production and a large community.

MIRA FIVE fits better if

  • Buyers you need the channel that first found the people who paid.
  • People you want each person's visits, goals and purchase on one page.
  • Google Ads spend should sit beside cost per buyer and ROAS.
  • Agents Claude should answer from the same numbers your team reads.

Plausible is a lightweight, open-source web analytics tool, made in the EU and hosted in Germany. It sets no cookies, keeps no persistent identifier, and answers traffic questions on one clear dashboard. MIRA FIVE is a Plausible alternative built around the person. A new website source counts visits without cookies; a Full website source, with each page choosing the mode per visitor, also follows those who consent across visits, from first touch to purchase.

Who is each tool for?

Plausible suits sites that want clear traffic numbers with a small footprint: pageviews, sources, pages, countries, goals and, on its Business plan, funnels and ecommerce revenue attribution. Its code is public, and you can run it on your own server.

MIRA FIVE suits shops and software companies whose customers take several visits to decide. It shows people, buyers and revenue per channel, a page for every person, journeys across visits, and Google Ads spend beside the buyers it brought.

Which channel brings the customers who pay?

Both tools can put revenue next to a source. The difference is time. Plausible’s visitor identifier resets every 24 hours by design, so a person who clicks an Instagram ad on Monday and buys through the newsletter a week later counts as two separate visitors.

MIRA FIVE keeps those visits together for visitors who consent. Acquisition credits channels by first touch or last touch, a goal’s page shows where its buyers first came from, and the goal reports the time from first visit to purchase. In the example shop on this site, the median is 10 days.

When Plausible is the better choice

Choose Plausible if you want open-source code you can read or run yourself. Choose it if one page of traffic numbers answers the questions your team asks, or if a model that never recognises a visitor on a later day is the point. Plausible also has a longer track record and a larger community. MIRA FIVE is a hosted service, run by Cloo GmbH.

Where is the data hosted?

Both are European. Plausible is incorporated in Estonia and hosts its data in Germany. MIRA FIVE is run by Cloo GmbH in Auerbach and hosted in Germany; analytics data is stored and processed in Germany. MIRA FIVE follows a visitor across visits once they consent. With a Full website source, where each page chooses the mode per visitor, those who decline are still counted, and the dashboard shows the share with consent. Compliance depends on what is collected and why, and hosting is one part of that.

Running both

Add the MIRA FIVE script beside the Plausible one and set up your purchase goal. Plausible’s numbers stay as they are; MIRA FIVE counts from the day its script goes live, and there is no import of Plausible history. After a month, compare what each tool told you about your buyers. Free includes 25,000 events a month with no card, and Pro is €20 a month for 100,000 events.

Questions and answers

Is MIRA FIVE a Plausible alternative?
Yes, when you need people as well as pageviews. For visitors who consent, MIRA FIVE follows the same person across visits, so buyers can be traced to the channel that first found them.
Can I run MIRA FIVE and Plausible together?
Yes. Add the MIRA FIVE script beside the Plausible one; the two work independently. Compare them for a month before you decide.
Can I import my Plausible data?
No. MIRA FIVE counts from the day you add the script, and your Plausible dashboard keeps its history.
Is MIRA FIVE open source?
No. MIRA FIVE is a hosted service run by Cloo GmbH and hosted in Germany. If reading or self-hosting the code matters to you, Plausible is the better choice.
