How to tag every campaign with UTM parameters
UTM parameters for every campaign, with the five tags, a naming convention, the utm_medium value for each channel and ready tags for Google Ads, Meta and email.
Read the guideTag a link for a campaign, a newsletter or a post, and see straight away which channel its visits will count under.
MIRA FIVE puts every visit in one of nine channels, and the first rule that matches wins. A click id from Google or Microsoft ads makes a visit Paid search whatever the tags say; one from Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn ads makes it Paid social, unless the medium says social or organic, since Facebook and Instagram add their click id to organic posts too.
Without a click id, the medium decides: cpc, ppc or paid is paid search, unless the source is a social network, then it is paid social, as is paid_social. email or newsletter is Email. A source such as chatgpt is AI assistants. A social source or the medium social is Organic social.
Any other tagged link counts under Campaigns. Organic search and Referrals depend on the site a visitor came from, which tags cannot set. Everything left over is Direct.
Values are compared in lower case, but keep them lower case anyway, so every report groups them the same way. Campaign names keep their case.
Acquisition in MIRA FIVE lists visits, people and buyers for every channel and every campaign in it, by first touch or last, and flags paid visits that arrive without a campaign.

Read the guideutm_campaign={campaignid} to the final URL suffix under Admin → Account settings → Tracking.email or newsletter. Both count as Email in MIRA FIVE.banner or referral. The visit still counts, with its source and campaign, under Campaigns.
